竹鶴ピュアモルトは、モルト原酒のみを使用しているため、
シングルモルトのような個性を持ちながらも、
ブレンドによるバランスの良さと調和の取れた味わいが際立っています。
香り (Nose) 穏やかながらも華やかで、モルト由来の芳ばしさ、バニラのような甘い樽香、
そして熟した果実（リンゴや洋梨）のニュアンスが感じられます。
微かにクリーンなピート（泥炭）香が、骨格のある個性を与えています。
味わい (Palate) 口当たりは非常になめらかで、スムース。
力強いモルトのコクと、まろやかな甘さが広がります。
ドライフルーツやチョコレートのような複雑な風味が層をなし、飲みごたえがあります。
フィニッシュ (Finish) 程よいピート香と樽香が心地よく長く続きます。

Taketsuru Pure Malt is a blended malt whisky embodying Nikka Whisky's passion and technical expertise in malt whisky production. It bears the name of Masataka Taketsuru, Nikka's founder and the man known as the ‘Father of Japanese Whisky’.
It is Nikka Whisky's flagship expression, encapsulating the history and tradition of Japanese whisky making.
Enjoy its rich flavour neat, on the rocks, or in a highball.

Characteristics: A luxurious 100% malt whisky, blended from malt whiskies from multiple distilleries (primarily Yoichi and Miyagikyo). It features a complex, deep aroma and a smooth palate.

Taketsuru Pure Malt, using only malt whisky base spirits, possesses the distinct character of a single malt while excelling in the balanced and harmonious flavour achieved through blending.
Nose: Gentle yet floral, revealing malt-derived nuttiness, sweet vanilla-like oak notes,
and nuances of ripe fruit (apple and pear).
A faint, clean peat note provides a backbone of character.
Palate: The mouthfeel is exceptionally smooth and velvety.
A robust malt richness and mellow sweetness unfold. Layers of complex flavours, reminiscent of dried fruit and chocolate, create a satisfying depth.
Finish: A pleasant, lingering note of moderate peat and cask aroma. The finish is rich, with a gentle, lingering spiciness from the oak cask.
The Yoichi Distillery in Yoichi Town, Hokkaido, produces one of the key base whiskies that make up Taketsuru Pure Malt.
Masataka Taketsuru's Vision: Founder Masataka Taketsuru chose Yoichi after seeking a location resembling Scotland's climate and terroir. The cold climate, abundant water sources, and clear air provide an ideal environment for whisky production.
Traditional Methods: Yoichi Distillery faithfully upholds Scotland's traditional production methods. Notably, it still employs direct coal-fired distillation to create rich, robust malt whisky, a unique technique highly regarded by whisky connoisseurs worldwide.
Characteristics of the Spirit: The malt whisky crafted in Yoichi is characterised by its robust character, featuring a pronounced smoky flavour (peat aroma). This distinctiveness lends depth and structure to the flavour of Taketsuru Pure Malt.
